Sunflowers in Darkness and Light

  • Angeliki Hatzimichali Museum of Popular Art and Tradition 6 Aggelikis Chatzimichali Athens, 105 58 Greece (Map)

My work "Sunflower" was part of a special exhibition in Athens.

The “Angeliki Chatzimichali” Museum of Folk Art and Tradition houses collections of folk art, including woodwork, metalwork, and ceramics, and is known for its aesthetically pleasing, traditionally decorated interior design.

The exhibition focused on the theme of “hidden disabilities” and, by extension, the sunflower, as the sunflower is the international symbol for invisible disabilities. It is a subtle symbol that is clearly visible from a distance, yet unmistakable, cheerful, and dynamic.
