Sacred Grove

Forgotten gods whisper in the woods.

The wool painting reveals the secrets of an ancient grove.
Fragments of fabric lie like a weathered tangle of roots over damp, earthy ground. Deep within, one seems to sense the cool, dry bitterness of oak moss.
The outlines of an ancient bust emerge from the shadows. Weathered stone, overgrown with moss, rough and soft at the same time. The overgrown forest encroaches upon it: intertwined undergrowth, permeated with the tart freshness of ivy leaves.
Here and there, a silky-golden shimmer appears; somewhere, a path leads out.
Dark red, veiled: Is a forgotten rosebush blooming in the distance?
